The resort features 18 historic suites that fuse contemporary details with local touches and 36 brand new, exquisitely-designed suites, offering the effortless harmony between nature and modern spaces that transcends.
Hacienda Xcanatun is surrounded by four acres of private gardens, filled with lush vegetation and bright tropical flowers that highlight the beauty that made it one of the most important haciendas in the Yucatan. Our iconic “Casa de Piedra” restaurant, serving regional and spontaneous cuisine, is a traditional favorite among locals. A new Olympic-size swimming pool with bali beds, outdoor showers, poolside snack bar, gym and the Angsana Spa offer tranquil spaces for guests to rejuvenate and immerse in nature, bringing an entirely new concept of a luxurious “urban resort” to the historic city of Merida.

This expansion from 2022 consists of the following:
• 36 new suites available to book (Naj Junior Suite & Itza Plunge Pool Suite)
• An Olympic-size swimming pool
• Lol - Ha Pool Bar
• A gym
• Yoga Deck

The new suites have been exquisitely designed by a locally recognized architectural firm in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
Inside the new suites, our architects use in a unique way the iconic traditional materials of the henequen haciendas, with a mixture of an austere, elegant and avant-garde air; yet always maintaining functionality, comfort, and the elegance that characterizes Banyan Tree Group.
Using other elements such as natural wood, leather and the personality of the pasta tile floor and the region's limestone, our interior designers reconfigure the hotel suites in search of transcendence, originality, and the contemporaneity of space.
This expansion bring a new level of luxury to our Hacienda and the city of Merida.
