We work toward a more conscious form of tourism, protecting the natural environment and promoting sustainability as a driving force for change in the industry. At Hacienda Xcanatun, we actively foster ethical business relationships with those who share our commitment to the land, culture, and people. We aspire to preserve life and the Earth to ensure a better future for generations to come.
Behind every unforgettable moment, there is a legacy of people who make their work a way to connect. We are proud of those who create memorable experiences for each of our guests.
Every member of our team contributes their talent, dedication, and passion to the heart of our resort. United by a shared purpose, we are a family bound together by hospitality, responsibility, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability.
We are convinced that every species matters, and that caring for our natural wealth means protecting all of us. Our goal is to coexist with all the wildlife in Yucatán. A testament to this is the family of coatis that has grown within the hotel — a living symbol of the harmony and respect we strive to maintain with our surroundings.
Each individual we encounter receives careful and responsible attention, always under the guidance of an expert biologist. We invite you to get to know this unique and friendly species that inhabits the region, guided by our coati specialist, Jorge Luis Gil.
Aware of our role as promoters of sustainable development, we actively support Yucatecan heritage artisans by acquiring local crafts and products, promoting ancestral traditions, and strengthening the regional economy.
Since June 2019, we have maintained an alliance with Taller Maya, an internationally recognized organization that promotes fair trade in Mexico, benefiting artisan communities and ensuring ethical practices that respect the state’s cultural identity.
In alignment with our values of social responsibility and responsible consumption, we foster partnerships that strengthen the well-being of producer communities in the Yucatán Peninsula.
Since May 2025, we have collaborated with the “Pide tu Huacal” program, a sustainable agriculture initiative in Mexico that benefits more than 20 small local producers in the communities of Yaxunah, Granada, and Tixcacaltuyub.
Through this model, we promote local food sovereignty and contribute to the generation of long-term economic, social, and environmental value.
Let yourself be guided by the essence of the place, where history and wildlife intertwine in a unique experience. Throughout the tour, you can admire the resort’s remarkable vegetation, discover its biodiversity, and explore various heritage points of interest.
Along the way, it is possible to spot coatis in their natural habitat, offering an authentic and natural encounter with Yucatán’s local fauna and fostering a deep connection with nature.
From every corner of the world, global initiatives inspire us to live in harmony with nature. That is why we join Banyan Group’s worldwide activities, such as Earth Hour, an international movement celebrated each year on the last Saturday of March. During this symbolic hour, millions of people and organizations around the world turn off their lights as a gesture of environmental awareness and commitment to climate action.
In addition to this initiative, we also take part in various efforts such as Earth Day, International Women’s Day, World Tourism Day, and World Environment Day.
Designed to offer luxury and comfort, our Itza Plunge Pool Suite Double is adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Its inclusive design helps create an accessible hospitality experience.
Located on the ground floor, it features spacious areas, wider doors, and support bars. The walk-in shower includes a built-in seat, carefully positioned to ensure safe and comfortable use.
Our commitment is to guarantee a peaceful, dignified, and barrier-free stay, accompanied by attentive and professional service at all times.
We are convinced of the transformative power of education, not only as an academic tool but as a way to open doors, build character, and change destinies.
Seedlings is an initiative that, since 2023, has aimed to support and inspire young people between the ages of 12 and 18 through three key phases: the first is a careful selection in collaboration with community leaders. The second phase includes a detailed study to understand their conditions and needs. Finally, the third phase focuses on personalized mentoring and guidance, provided voluntarily by hotel staff, strengthening corporate social responsibility.
Together, we weave a legacy that transcends time…
