The museum exhibits findings dating from the Prehistoric to the Hellenistic times, including bronze and marble statues, funeral offerings, ancient coins, clay pottery, golden jewellery, and parts of ancient temples. The impressive Gorgona-Medusa pediment from the temple of Artemis, dating from 585 BC, is the museum's main highlight. This pediment was excavated in 1911 and it is considered the oldest stone pediment of an ancient Greek temple. If you would rather stay in the Liston area with the kids, visit the Museum of Asian Arts just steps away, housed in the Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George. It is the only one of its kind in Greece, solely dedicated to the art and antiquities of the Far East and India. You will be amused by the colours and artistry; a wonderful journey through civilizations.

Take a ride on a horse and share this moment with the family. Ride a horse on the beach, on the mountain or take a lesson in one of Corfu's natural stables. A pony ride will be the best experience for your little ones. Not far away from Angsana Corfu Resort, in the middle of the forests there lies a mystical Equine Centre, Silvaland. Nature is everywhere, and you get the feeling you are entering a fairy tale. The Centre is set in an estate of over 7 acres and has a 2,000 sqm indoor arena, two outdoor arenas and stables. There are all kinds of horses, including ponies and, more specifically, Skyrian ponies. The Skyrian pony was an endangered species; when Sylvia Steen, owner of Silvaland, got interested in this ancient breed of horses, there were only three pairs left in the world! Now, thirty years later, the population comprises about 50 ponies on Corfu, another 20 back on Skyros and another 20 in Scotland. Kids and the family will be thrilled with the ambiance and the little Skyrian ponies, in this once in a lifetime experience.
