Reaching Out to the Underprivileged Children

Banyan Tree Phuket and Angsana Laguna Phuket recently joined Laguna Phuket Foundation in gifting daily necessities and snacks to the orphans of Baan Holland, Kathu District in Phuket. This is part of Children First Fund (CFF) which supports and provides supplies to orphans and underprivileged children in Phuket on a monthly basis.

Turtle Volunteer for a Day

Making an educational session more fun and engaging, Banyan Tree Mayakoba created Turtle Volunteer for A Day. Dressing like turtles, both adults and children learnt the difficulties female turtles go through when making a nest to lay their eggs and also the challenges young turtles face before and after they hatch. Guests were also taught how to identify traces of turtles and how rescue missions are carried out.

Fixing Up a Local School

Banyan Tree Ringha’s associates came together to fix up the forlorn walls of a local kindergarten. For three days, they worked seamlessly as a team, giving the school a renewed look for students to be excited to learn and play in.

CSR Charity Bazaar

On 30 August, Banyan Tree Sanya organised a CSR Charity Bazaar at the staff canteen. Over a hundred items ranging from toys, food and cosmetics were donated by associates and put up for sale for other associates to purchase. Some associated even made cash donations. This bazaar raised a total of RMB2,245 that will be donated during a visit to a chosen welfare centre in October.

EarthCheck Silver for the Fourth Year

Angsana Maison Souvannaphoum has proactively practiced a wide range of sustainable activities, leading them to be awarded with EarthCheck Silver for the fourth consecutive year!
