Sustainability and social responsibility are the core of what we do. We are dedicated to being stewards of our community by advocating our Group motto of "embracing the environment, empowering people." Angsana Maison Souvannaphoum is proud to be Gold Certified by EarthCheck and Travelife, demonstrating our commitment to more meaningful social and economic impact through efficient usage of utilities and resources, waste reduction, community involvement, and other sustainable practices.

For A Cleaner Community

Since 2014, the hotel management and associates have volunteered in a city-wide cleanup programme dubbed "Trash Idol" to raise awareness of environmental issues and educate local citizens to take better care of their surroundings. We join the local community to clean up the streets every month and during major events such as Lao New Year, Boat Racing Festival, Earth Day and others. In addition, we partnered with schools such as Souphanavong University, Technical and Vocation College of Luang Prabang, and secondary schools to educate students on environmental awareness and best practices, as well as train volunteers on waste management.

Stay For Good

We believe in travel with a purpose. Our Stay for Good programme invites you to experience the world authentically by highlighting the intricacies of each destination, while at the same time honouring the heritage and traditions of local communities. As a sustainable resort, Angsana Maison Souvannaphoum has partnered with a local textile manufacturer to create traditional attire using unique local patterns for guests of the hotel to rent or buy. Guests can wear the attire when participating in tak bat, or the morning almsgiving, as a sign of respect and connect to the local culture. Each year, the textile partner also trains young talents to learn the art of weaving.
