Among the exhibits are hand-knotted carpets, traditional clothing, jewellery, tools, elaborate plaitings and weapons, and a nomad tent set within the extensively restored riad.

Only a few steps from the Riad, Dar Si Said is one of Marrakech's most popular folklore museums. The exhibition is housed in an old palace and combines artisan craftwork and Islamic architecture. 

This spacious townhouse once belonged to the younger brother of the grand vizier Ba Ahmed. It was turned into a museum during the French protectorate in 1932 and renovated after.
