The city of Ouarzazate is also known as the “The door of the desert”. Discover the great Moroccan South via the Tichka Pass and the Telouet track. Through the Glaoua country is the impressive Ait Ben Hoddou site, or the Skoura palm-grove and its “1000 Kasbah”. Ouarzazate, the traditional departure point for camel trains to Timbuktu, is the starting point for many excursions into the Sahara desert, amongst which are trips to the palm tree plantation surrounded oasis town of Zagora.
