Heshun Old Town
Located near the border with Burma is Heshun Old Town, a centre that retains much of its heritage and culture with many traditional buildings untouched by the urban and economic development that has transformed much of China in the last decade. Due to its proximity to Burma, since ancient times, Heshun Old Town has been a popular trading area for jade and it is still viewed as an important commodity for many shops and street vendors today. Your visit to Heshun is not complete without seeing Zhongtian Temple. Situated on top a gentle hill, it affords a good view of the town. Since it was recognised as one of China’s most charming towns, Heshun Old Town has seen an increase of tourist arrivals each year.
