Angsana Velavaru, Maldives

On arrival to the island, we were greeted by the by the friendly and welcoming hotel staff who gave us a cool and refreshing sorbet and a cool towel… a good start! The holiday continued to impress from hereafter. We could go on and on about how good this place is… therefore here are some of the key points we would like to share with you: amazing food both in the buffet restuarant and the fish restuarant; amazing extras - We recommend the BBQ on the beach(so romantic); free daily snorkelling trip to the reef (we saw an eagle ray, turtles, box-fish, moray eels and loads of other stunning fish; rooms are gorgeous with outdoor showers, luxury décor and gifts left on your bed each evening (a lovely touch!); the spa - wow this really is first class treatment (and believe me I am a spa queen and have experienced a lot of different spas!) - we had many treatments here and each one just got better; water in rooms daily (sparkling and still).
On the final evening my husband and I upgraded to a luxury in ocean villa - these really are an experience (expensive though) - a nice treat, however we really did enjoy the feeling of waking up on our own bit of beach each morning in our beach bungalow.
All in all an expensive but amazing holiday where privacy is high on the island’s agena. Thank you to all the staff and the management at Agsana for making our first two weeks as husband and wife so special.
