Kuang Si Waterfall Tour
A must-see sight of Luang Prabang is Kuang Si Waterfall. A 50m waterfall tumbles down from the jungle feeding a series of cascades and turquoise pools where visitors can swim in the refreshingly cool water.
Enjoy our day tour to Kuang Si:
9:00 am – Drive 30 km south of Luang Prabang city in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan. Stop at local villages along the way. Visit the lowland (Lao Lum), upland (Lao Kang) and highland (Lao Sung) to see teakwood plantations and the traditional way of rice cultivation.
12:00 pm – Arrive at Kuang Si. Enjoy a picnic lunch before an easy walk through the forest trail to explore the various falls. You’ll see the Free the Bears Asian bear sanctuary. Go for a refreshing swim. For the more adventurous, a steep, challenging trail leads up to the very top of the big waterfall.
2:00pm – Drive back to Luang Prabang and visit Ban Phanom, a village famous for traditional weaving.
4:00pm – Return to the hotel
